Aquaporins are proteins found in human cell membranes.

Discovered in 1992 with the special property of allowing water to pass through.

In 2003, Peter Agre was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery of aquaporins.

By increasing the content of aquaporin in the skin, it regulates the water balance of the skin, giving the skin firmness and elasticity.

However, when aquaporins are lost due to skin aging, the moisture in the skin decreases, causing skin problems such as wrinkles.
